Meet The FLC Far West Regional Coordinator
Ms. Ida Shum Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Livermore, CA
Ida Shum joined Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in October 2007 as a Business Development Executive for the Industrial Partnerships Office. She is responsible for the commercialization of technologies in the areas relating to biotechnology and chemistry. Prior to arriving at LLNL, she was at the Idaho National Laboratory for three years commercializing technologies covering national security, industrial processes and manufacturing, as well as materials. She has spent the last four years managing technology partnerships with industrial, private entities, and academic partners. For the last two years, Ida has served as the FLC Far West Region's Deputy Regional Coordinator. Last year, she was recognized as the Far West Region's Outstanding Laboratory Representative.
Ida earned her B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of California at Los Angeles (1999); her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame (2003). While at Notre Dame Law School, Ida served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Legislation. She is admitted to practice before the California State Bar and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Ida is an active member of the Licensing Executives Society.
