![]() Our display header represents the diverse landscape of tech transfer in the far west. As part of an expanding outreach effort, the Far West Region has purchased a display system for regional use by its member laboratories. In the past, the Far West Region has shared space on the FLC displays, which showcase technology transfer and research accomplishments of labs from across the nation. The displays are used to create a presence for the FLC and to tell the story of tech transfer (and show its value to the nations economy) within the partnerships of labs, universities, and private industry. With more opportunities to display a showcase of regional accomplishments, it was decided that a separate display unit would be a valuable marketing and promotion tool for the Far West Region. This particular display was chosen for its eye-catching presentation, adaptability, ease of use, and price point. It is an easy-to-set-up and easy-to-take-down, 360 degree hinged, folding-panel system, that can be set up as a single 10'x7.1/2' floor standing unit, or it can be taken apart and used as two separate table-top displays. It can also be set up as a freestanding pentagon, or in several other configurations, as it has Velcro on both sides. The display has a dark royal blue Velcro front, a black Velcro back, and has yellow-gold Velcro rounded end-caps that are optionally mounted on the sides. Pictures and printed captions that show off you labs accomplishments will be mounted on Velcro-ed backings and positioned on the panels. Spanning the display is a back-lit header with the Far West Regions logo in yellow-gold and white, with dark blue lettering. The display comes packed in a wheeled case that is UPS ship-able, and airline acceptable. Kurt Buehler, at the Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards AFB, CA, has reserved the display for a presentation/conference that his facility is participating in at the end of summer. If your lab would like to book the display for future use, please call the Regional Support Office 619/685-1486, or e-mail your request to: admstaff@swttc.org |
