In early December, election ballots were counted for the FLC’s Far West Regional Coordinator and Deputy Coordinator positions. Mike Sullivan from DOD-Naval Air Warfare Center, Point Mugu, California, is the new Regional Coordinator and Elaine Mew from DOE-Bechtel Nevada in Las Vegas, is the new Deputy Coordinator. Previously, both had been actively involved in the FLC on a national as well as regional level. Mike stepped in for Cookie West and served out the last year of Cookie’s term as Deputy Coordinator upon her retirement.

Mike and Elaine began their two-year term January 1, 1998, and both look forward to working with the entire region as the FLC prepares to take technology transfer into the next millennium.
