The program focus was on Marketing Tools & Techniques and featured a variety of presenters from the two regions. We also had a few speakers from outside the region including John Bacon from Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory.
Attendees learned of on-line educational opportunities from Cenquest as well as other online resources and mechanisms to help market and commercialize technologies. The topic of Homeland Security was well represented and Emergency Response Needs were presented by Lisa Hecker of CTC (daughter of Sig Hecker, well known former LANL director and FLC Award Winner).
The Awards Ceremony included an opportunity to express appreciation to those that have given many years of service, time and energy to the FLC—among those honored included Dana Moran and Mike Sullivan, along with Victor Chavez, Susan Sprake, and Kurt Buehler.
In addition to the programmatic accolades, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful setting in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
The Far West Region wants to thank Susan Sprake (LANL & MC Regional Coordinator), Brett Cornwell (MCTTC) and Ann Kerksieck (MC Regional Support) for their efforts in making this conference a success.
